- Make the strawberry simple syrup: Heat the strawberries, sugar and water together in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. As the strawberries heat up, use a fork to gently mash them, releasing their juices. Continue to simmer the syrup for 10 minutes to let the flavor fully infuse.
