Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • For Snickers bar lovers — It doesn’t taste exactly like a Snickers bar, but it tastes pretty similar! If you like snickers bars, you will love this shot.
  • Holiday Shot Recipe — The ingredients in this recipe are all holiday liqueurs, so combined together they make a delicious holiday shot recipe for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
  • 3 Ingredients — All you need are 3 ingredients for this shot, so it is super simple to make.

Ingredients & Substitutions

The ingredients needed to make the Snickers Bar shot.
  • Frangelico: Frangelico is an Italian hazelnut liqueur. You should be able to find it at your local alcohol store, but if not, you can replace it with any type of hazelnut liqueur. You could also use a hazelnut drink syrup, but reduce the quantity because this will make the shot ridiculously sweet.
  • Baileys: Use Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur. You can even use a flavored Baileys, such as Baileys Espresso or Baileys Salted Caramel for a unique variation.
  • Kahlua: Use Kahlua or any type of coffee flavored liqueur. You could use real espresso as a substitute.

How To Make A Snickers Shot

Step 1: Add the Kahlua, Frangelico and Baileys to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Step 2: Shake well and strain into a shot glass.

Expert Tips

  • Use holiday shot glasses. If you are serving these shots for Thanksgiving or Christmas, try serving them in fun holiday shot glasses.
  • Top them with whipped cream. If you want to make these shots extra decadent, add a dollop of whipped cream (try this Brown Sugar Whipped Cream), and a sprinkle of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.
  • Chill the ingredients. This shot is best served extra cold. Chill all the liqueurs in the fridge until you are ready to make the shot.
Can I make this recipe into Snickers Pudding Shots?

You can’t directly turn this recipe into pudding shots, but you can follow this recipe for Kahlua Pudding Shots or this recipe for Baileys Pudding Shots, and use a combination of Baileys, Kahlua and Frangelico to make a similar pudding shot version.

Can I make this Snickers shot layered?

Technically this shot can be layered (Kahlua on the bottom, Frangelico in the middle and Baileys on top). However, it can be difficult to get the layer of Kahlua and Frangelico to stay separate, so I prefer to shake this shot in a cocktail shaker.
