Ingredients & Substitutions
- Reese’s Cups: You’ll need one Reese’s cup per shot. Unfortunately, Reese’s pieces don’t work well as a substitute since they don’t melt properly.
- Baileys: Use Bailey’s Original Irish Cream Liqueur. You can use a flavored Baileys if prefer. As a substitute, you can use RumChata.
- Milk: Milk adds a dash of creaminess to the shot. Whole milk is the best option, but any type of milk works. For an extra creamy shot, you can use cream or half & half.
- Butter: You’ll need a tiny bit of butter to help the Reese’s cup melt smoothly in the microwave. Don’t worry the shot doesn’t taste like butter! You can use margarine if you prefer.

Expert Tips

- Don’t make these shots in advance. Unfortunately, these shot’s don’t do well when made in advance. This is because they can separate into two layers (however they still taste delicious).
- Add in some other flavors. There are lots of ways you can vary this shot with some optional add ins. For variety, try adding a splash of Kahlua, RumChata, Frangelico, chocolate liqueur or chocolate syrup.
