Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Sweet & Peachy: This drink is for people who like a cocktail on the sweeter side. The combination of flavors is so refreshing on a hot summer day.
  • Crowd Pleaser: Everyone will love this peach drink! You can adjust the strength depending on your crowd, and can even make it a mocktail.
  • Great recipe for peach season! If peaches are in season, elevate this drink by using fresh peach nectar. It’s a great recipe for using up any peaches you have before they go bad.

Ingredients & Substitutions

The ingredients needed to make the peach beach drink.
  • Peach Nectar: Use store bought peach nectar or peach juice. If peaches are in season, you can make your own peach purée and use that instead.
  • Vodka: Use your favorite mid-shelf brand of vodka. You can use a flavored fruity vodka (such as peach vodka or raspberry vodka) if you have it, but it is not necessary. As a substitute for vodka, you can use Crown Royal rum which goes excellently with the peach flavors in this cocktail.
  • Peach Schnapps: Peach schnapps is a sweet peach flavored liqueur that will add an extra kick of peach flavor. For a less sweet cocktail, leave this out. If you don’t want to buy peach schnapps, you can use this peach syrup as a substitute.
  • Cranberry Juice: I use red cranberry juice for this cocktail to help give it its bright color, but you can use whatever type you like.
  • Orange Juice: If you have time, use freshly squeezed orange juice. Or, use a high quality store bought pulp-free orange juice.
  • Lemon Juice: A dash of lemon juice helps brighten all the other flavors in this drink. Use freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Expert Tips

  • Adjust the sweetness. This cocktail is on the sweeter side. If you want to make the drink less sweet, leave out the peach schnapps or add in an extra ounce of vodka. If you want to make the drink even sweeter, add in a dash of this homemade peach syrup.
  • Use rum instead of vodka. Several versions of a peach beach cocktail actually use dark rum (such as Crown Royal) instead of vodka. If you prefer dark rum over vodka, use that in place of the vodka.
  • Make it a frozen drink. This cocktail tastes delicious as a frozen drink! To serve frozen, blend all the ingredients together with a large handful of ice in a high quality blender. Serve in a hurricane glass.
  • Make it a mocktail. This drink makes a great mocktail for guests who don’t drink or for kids. To make it a mocktail, leave out the vodka and peach schnapps. Then after shaking the drink, top it off with a bit of club soda.

Recipe FAQs

Can I make this peach beach cocktail in advance?

This drink is best made fresh, right before serving. However, you can mix the ingredients together a few hours in advance and store them in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve. Stir or shake the cocktail well before serving.

Can I use fresh peach purée instead of a store bought one for this drink?

Yes! Fresh peach purée will make this cocktail taste even better. To make peach purée, blend peaches together until smooth (add a dash of water or peach juice if needed). Then, pass the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove any chunks.
