This Starbucks Iced White Chocolate Mocha is an easy copycat recipe of the decadent Starbucks’ drink. It takes only a few minutes to make this white mocha at home, using either store bought or homemade white chocolate mocha sauce.

Learning to make your own DIY Starbucks drink recipes at home is well worth the effort.

You can save time and money and have your favorite drinks every morning.

Some of my other favorite Starbucks copycat recipes include this Starbucks Pistachio Latte, this Iced Mocha Latte and this Red Velvet Frappuccino.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Starbucks Copycat — This copycat version tastes just like the original recipe. Making it at home is much less expensive but tastes just as good!
  • Basic Ingredients — There are no fancy ingredients in this recipe. If you choose to use a store bought white chocolate sauce, there are lots of options available for purchase. Otherwise, there are instructions below for easily making your sauce at home.
  • Decadent Treat — This drink is definitely on the sweeter side of Starbucks drinks! Go all out by adding on some whipped cream, or even some brown sugar cold foam or pumpkin cold foam.

Ingredients

The ingredients needed to make the iced white chocolate mocha.
  • White Chocolate Coffee Syrup: Starbucks’ white chocolate mocha sauce doesn’t actually have any mocha in it (it is just a basic white chocolate sauce). You can use a store bought white chocolate syrup or you can make your own white chocolate sauce with white chocolate, half and half and sweetened condensed milk.
  • Espresso: Use freshly brewed espresso for this recipe, rather than instant espresso. If you do use instant espresso, I recommend this instant espresso for the highest quality. If you prefer coffee, you can replace the espresso with strongly brewed coffee instead.
  • Milk: Milk is poured on top of this white mocha latte. You can use any type of milk you like, including a non-dairy milk, such as almond milk or oat milk.

How To Make Your Own White Chocolate Mocha Sauce

There are lots of store bought options when it comes to white chocolate mocha sauce. However, if you are looking to save some money, it is easy to make a homemade Starbucks copycat white chocolate mocha syrup.

Step 1: Heat ¾ cup of half and half and ¼ cup of sweetened condensed milk together in a saucepan until they are almost boiling.

Step 2: Add in 4 oz of white chocolate and stir until melted. Once the sauce is smooth, remove it from the stove and let it cool slightly.

Step 1: Brew a shot of espresso and mix in the white chocolate mocha sauce until smooth. Stir in the white chocolate syrup until dissolved.

Step 2: Add the espresso over a glass filled with ice.

Step 3: Pour the milk on top. Optionally top with whipped cream.

Expert Tips

  • Adjust the sweetness. This is definitely one of Starbucks’ sweeter latte drinks. To make the latte less sweet, reduce the amount of white chocolate sauce you add.
  • Mix the white chocolate sauce into the warm espresso. Make sure to mix the white chocolate sauce with the hot espresso before pouring them over ice. The white chocolate mocha syrup dissolves more easily in hot liquid.
  • Use frozen coffee cubes. Freeze coffee or espresso into ice cubes and use them instead of regular ice cubes. This will prevent your iced latte from becoming watered down as the ice melts on a hot day.

Recipe FAQs

How do I store leftover white chocolate syrup?

If you choose to make your own syrup, store leftovers in the fridge for up to a week.

How can I make this a hot white chocolate mocha?

If you prefer to have this as a hot drink, don’t use any ice and warm the milk before pouring over the espresso. Alternatively, you can froth the milk.
