These Espresso Martini Recipes are all easy to make cocktails that are great for the holidays. If you love a classic espresso martini, you will love one of these unique variations.

A classic espresso martini recipe is made with vodka, Kahlua, espresso and simple syrup. These creative variations all add in other flavors — some even use a different type of alcohol.

Espresso martinis are great any time of the year, but they are especially popular in winter around Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Tips For Making & Serving Espresso Martinis

  • Shake well. It is important to shake an espresso martini really, really well. This ensure the drink is ice cold and has a nice, frothy top once poured. You should be shaking the drink for at least 20 seconds and the outside of the cocktail shaker should be frosted. It can also be helpful to use a high quality cocktail shaker.
  • Use fresh espresso. Using freshly brewed espresso will not only make sure your martini tastes delicious, but it also helps to create a nice frothy top. However, if you still want to use instant espresso, I like to use this high quality instant espresso.
  • Choose your cocktail glasses. Espresso martinis are typically served in martini glasses or coupe glasses. If you are serving one of these recipes for a Christmas party, try using one of these Christmas martini cocktail glasses.
