Ingredients & Substitutions

The ingredients needed to make the raspberry lemon drop shot.
  • Vodka: Regular vodka works perfectly well, but if you have it, raspberry vodka will give an extra fruity kick to these shots.
  • Raspberry Syrup: It is easy to make your own raspberry simple syrup, but you can also just use a store bought one if you prefer. If you have Chambord on hand, you can use that instead of raspberry syrup.
  • Lemon Juice: Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the freshest flavor. If you want a slightly sweeter shot, you can replace the lemon juice with limoncello.

How To Make A Raspberry Lemon Drop Shot

Step 1: Add the vodka, raspberry syrup and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Expert Tips

  • Add a sugar rim. For a sweeter shot, you can dip the rim of the shot glass in a bit of raspberry syrup and then roll the edge in granulated sugar.
  • Substitute the alcohol. If you don’t want a vodka-based shot, these raspberry shooters work really well with white rum, tequila or even gin.
  • Chill the shot glasses. These shots are extra refreshing when served ice cold. Chill the shot glasses in the freezer for 30 minutes before pouring this lemon drop shot.
