Description
This Black Cherry Mojito is a refreshing, easy to make flavored mojito recipe. Made with syrup from real black cherries, you’ll want to sip these cherry mojitos all summer long!

- Black Cherry Syrup:
- 1 cup black cherries
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- Black Cherry Mojito:
- 5 to 10 mint leaves
- 1 oz black cherry syrup
- 1 oz lime juice, fresh
- 1 ½ oz white rum
- 4 oz 7Up or club soda
Instructions
- Make the black cherry syrup. Heat the cherries, granulated sugar and water together in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir gently as the mixture heats. Press down on the cherries with a fork to burst them.
- Once the sugar has completely dissolved and the cherries have burst, remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes. Then, use a fine mesh strainer to remove the cherry pieces and pits.
- Make the black cherry mojito. Add the mint leaves, black cherry syrup and lime juice to the bottom of a highball glass. Use a muddler to gently press the leaves until fragrant.
- Add in the white rum, ice and top with the 7Up. Gently stir and serve immediately.
Notes
- Storing cherry syrup: Store leftover cherry syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. You can use it to flavor any type of drink, such as these Cherry Limeade Margaritas.
