Description
A delicious pesto mayo drizzle sauce perfect for drizzling over pizza. Made with fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, olive oil, mayonnaise, and lemon juice in under 5 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
- 1/8 cup pine nuts
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- a handful of fresh basil
- a pinch of salt
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a blender, and pulse until smooth. Do not over-blend, the sauce is meant to have a slightly chunky consistency.
- Serve fresh over pizza. Store leftovers in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
- If you want a thicker sauce that it better for dipping into (potatoes, crust), remove the olive oil.
- You can warm this sauce up for 15-20 seconds in the microwave before drizzling on pizza if you prefer.
- When left to sit, the sauce will settle and separate slightly. Stir the pesto drizzle sauce well before serving.
