Description
This oreo hot chocolate is a dunkin donuts copycat that is even better than the original. A thick, creamy, rich hot chocolate that tastes like pure oreos. A must-have winter drink for any cookies and cream lovers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 oreo cookies
- ⅔ cup milk
- 1 ½ tablespoons granulated sugar
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- Remove the cream filling from the oreo centers. Set aside for now.
- Heat the oreo cookies, milk and sugar in a saucepan over low to medium heat. Whisk occasionally. Once the oreos dissolve, continue to whisk as the hot chocolate thickens up. It will remain liquid for a couple minutes and then reach a point where it suddenly thickens.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the oreo fillings until smooth. Top with whipped cream and extra oreo crumbles. Enjoy!
Notes
- Too thick? Add some milk. If you accidentally overheated the hot chocolate and want it to be thinner, stir in small amounts of milk until you get the consistency desired.
