Description
This easy vegan oat milk latte is the best coffee to make on a cold, winter morning. Steamed oat milk, a shot of strong espresso, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a dash of maple syrup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup oat milk*
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp maple syrup
- 1 -2 shots espresso
Instructions
- Heat the oat milk, cinnamon and maple syrup together in a saucepan over medium to high heat. Whisk to dissolve the cinnamon. Heat the milk until it almost boils, but don’t let it actually boil. Adjust the temperature as needed. There should be lots of steam coming off the milk without any bubbles forming.
- Once hot, remove from the stove and use a handheld frother to froth the oat milk.
- Pour the liquid (bottom) portion over the espresso. Scoop the remaining foam on top of the latte. Enjoy!
Notes
- *Use barista oat milk for a frothier, creamier latte.
- If you don’t have an electric frother: After steaming the oat milk on the stove, add it to a blender and blend on low.
- Don’t let the oat milk boil. Adjust the temperature as needed to allow the oat milk to heat up as close as possible to boiling, without actually boiling.
