This healthy matcha chai latte is easy to make in only 7 minutes with just 4 ingredients!
Ingredients

- 1 chai tea bag
- ⅓ cup hot water
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp matcha powder, dissolved in 2 tbsp hot water
- ½ cup almond milk
Instructions
- Steep the chai tea bag in ⅓ cup of hot water for 3 to 5 minutes. Then remove the tea bag. Stir in the sugar until it dissolves.
- Meanwhile, dissolve the matcha powder in 2 tablespoons of hot water using a matcha whisk. Make sure there are no lumps of matcha powder left.
- In a latte cup, mix the concentrated tea and liquid matcha together until evenly combined.
- In a separate, microwave-safe glass, froth the almond milk using a handheld frother for about 30 seconds, until the almond milk has doubled in volume.
- Heat the almond milk in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds until warm. Then pour over the matcha chai tea and drink immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
- Use a matcha whisk. It can be difficult to get matcha powder to dissolve without leaving lumps of powder. A matcha whisk is a small bamboo whisk that helps dissolve matcha powder in water smoothly.
- Froth the almond milk when it is cold. Leave the almond milk in the fridge until you are ready to froth it. It won’t give the same consistency if it is frothed when warm.
