Description

This Mango Jalapeño Margarita is a tropical margarita with a spicy jalapeño kick. Made with a homemade jalapeño simple syrup, this drink is the perfect complement to any Mexican dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Spicy Jalapeño Syrup:
    • ½ cup jalapeños, diced
    • ¼ cup water
    • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Mango Jalapeño Margarita:
    • 4 oz mango nectar
    • 1 ½ oz tequila
    • 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
    • ½ oz spicy jalapeño syrup
    • ½ oz Cointreau
    • tajin seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Finally, make the mango jalapeño margarita: Add the mango nectar, tequila, lime juice, jalapeño syrup and Cointreau to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well for 20 to 30 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosted. Strain and pour into the prepared margarita glass filled with ice.

Notes

  • Spiciness Level: Everyone has a different preference for level of spice and the spiciness of the jalapeno syrup can vary depending on the type of the type of jalapeños you use and how long the syrup boils. Adjust the amount of jalapeño syrup you add as needed. For a spicier drink add more syrup, and for a sweeter drink add a dash of regular simple syrup.
