Description
This red Halloween mimosa is a simple Halloween cocktail to serve guests at a spooky themed party. It’s easy to make with a homemade mixed berry simple syrup and Champagne or Prosecco.
Ingredients
Scale
- Berry Syrup:
- ¾ cup mixed berries, frozen
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup water
- Halloween Mimosa:
- 5 oz Champagne or Prosecco
- 1 oz berry syrup
Instructions
- First, make the berry syrup. Heat the berries, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Continue to stir occasionally, using a fork to mash the berries as they warm up, releasing their juices. Don’t let the syrup boil.
- Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the syrup from the stove and strain out the berry chunks. Let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Next, make the Halloween mimosa. Add a few tablespoons of syrup to each champagne flute. Top with champagne or prosecco and gently stir if needed. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover berry syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
- This Halloween mimosa also works well with this strawberry syrup, this blueberry syrup, this blackberry syrup or this raspberry syrup.
