Description
This watermelon banana smoothie is the most refreshing smoothie. Perfect for serving with tacos or spicy barbecue wings on a hot summer day while relaxing on the patio.
Ingredients

- 1 cup seedless watermelon, cut into chunks
- ½ medium banana
- ½ cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Add the watermelon, banana and ice cubes to a blender, making sure the ice cubes are closest to the blades.
- Pulse the blender a few times until all the ingredients are partially blended. If the blades are not reaching the watermelon and banana, shake the blender container a few times to bring down the fruit, then pulse a couple of times. Next, blend for 5-6 seconds only. Don’t over-blend! There should still be small ice chunks for a slightly slushy texture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Don’t overblend the smoothie. The drink is meant to have a slight slushy texture. If you blend for too long, the ice will fully break down and it will just be a watery smoothie.
