This banana rum cocktail is an easy, tropical cocktail that will transport you to a sun-soaked paradise! Made with homemade banana syrup for an authentic, refreshing banana flavor.


  • Banana Syrup: 
    • 1 large banana
    • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
    • ⅓ cup water
  • Banana Rum Cocktail:
    • 1 ½ oz Malibu rum
    • 1 oz banana syrup
    • 2 oz pineapple juice
    • 1 oz orange juice


  1. Make the banana rum cocktail: Add the Malibu rum, banana syrup, pineapple juice and orange juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well for 20 seconds until the outside is frosted. Strain and serve into a chilled cocktail glass. Serve immediately.


Store leftover banana syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 to 2 weeks. Use leftovers to make a banana margarita or a banana latte.
