Description
This baileys hot chocolate is the perfect winter hot chocolate to make this season. Cozy up with a mug of this and a book by the fireplace.
Ingredients
Scale
- Hot Chocolate:
- ½ cup milk
- 3 tablespoons milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- ½ tablespoon cocoa powder
- ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ oz Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur
- Baileys Whipped Cream:
- ⅛ cup whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons Baileys
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
Instructions
- Heat the milk, chocolate chips, sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla extract together on a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk frequently as the chocolate melts.
- After a few minutes, once the chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth, remove the saucepan from the stove. Mix in the baileys.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cream, sugar and baileys together until stiff peaks form. Scoop the whipped cream onto the hot chocolate and serve. Enjoy responsibly!
Notes
- Don’t let it boil. Use low to medium heat to prevent the mixture from boiling. Adjust the temperature accordingly.
- Try a flavored baileys. Instead of original baileys, try a flavored version such as vanilla cinnamon baileys or hazelnut baileys.
