Description
This watermelon margarita on the rocks recipe is a simple, refreshing summer cocktail. Made with fresh watermelon, this is a delicious margarita for beach season.
Ingredients

- 1 cup seedless watermelon chunks
- 1 oz tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
- ½ tbsp Cointreau
- Margarita salt for the margarita rim (optional)
Instructions
- Run a wedge of lime around the rim of a margarita glass, then press it into the salt, gently rolling to make it stick. Set aside for now.
- Blend the watermelon chunks in a blender until smooth. Pass the mixture through a strainer to remove any pulp.
- Add the watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice, agave syrup and Cointreau to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well for 20 seconds until the outside of the cocktail shaker is frosted. Strain and pour into the prepared margarita glass. Enjoy responsibly!
