Description
This creamy vanilla oat milk latte is made with homemade vanilla syrup made from real vanilla beans, which gives the BEST vanilla flavor!
Ingredients
Scale
- Vanilla Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 whole vanilla bean, split in half
- Vanilla Oat Milk Latte:
- 1 ½ tbsp vanilla syrup
- 2 oz espresso, freshly brewed
- ½ cup oat milk
Instructions
Vanilla Syrup:
- Heat the water, sugar, vanilla extract and vanilla bean in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally. Continue to heat for about 5 to 8 minutes until the sugar has completely dissolved. Don’t let the syrup boil.
- Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the syrup from the stovetop and strain out the vanilla bean. You may also want to pass the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove any small pieces of vanilla bean.
Vanilla Oat Milk Latte:
- Stir the vanilla syrup into the freshly brewed espresso until it has fully dissolved.
- Froth the oat milk in an electric frother. Pour the oat milk on top of the espresso and serve immediately.
Notes
- This recipe makes extra vanilla syrup. Store leftover syrup in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to 1 to 2 weeks.
