This strawberry basil mocktail is an easy summer drink recipe. Made with homemade strawberry basil syrup for a tasty, refreshing drink.

- Strawberry Basil Simple Syrup:
- ½ cup strawberries
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- Strawberry Basil Mocktail:
- 2 oz strawberry basil simple syrup
- 1 oz lime juice
- 4 oz club soda
Instructions
Strawberry Basil Simple Syrup:
- Heat the strawberries, basil leaves, sugar and water together on a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir occasionally. Press the strawberries and basil leaves with the back of a wooden spoon while heating to release their juices.
- Continue to heat the syrup for 5 to 8 minutes until the sugar has completely dissolved. Strain out the strawberries and basil leaves. Let the syrup cool to room temperature before using.
Strawberry Basil Mocktail:
- Mix the strawberry basil simple syrup and lime juice in a cocktail glass. Add a handful of ice.
- Top with club soda, and stir well before serving.
Notes
- This recipe will make extra syrup. Let the syrup fully cool to room temperature before storing. Then store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 to 2 weeks.
