Description
This spicy margarita mocktail is an easy non alcoholic mocktail recipe with a kick! Simple to make and just as refreshing as a classic margarita. Serve it on the rocks or frozen.
Ingredients
Scale
- Jalapeño Simple Syrup:
- ½ cup jalapeños, diced
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- Spicy Margarita Mocktail:
- 2 oz orange juice
- 2 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 oz jalapeño syrup
- salted rim or tajin rim
Instructions
Jalapeño Simple Syrup:
- Heat the jalapeños, sugar and water together in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir occasionally, and continue to heat for about 5 minutes until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Remove the syrup from the stove and strain out the jalapeños. Let the syrup cool to room temperature before making the margarita.
Spicy Margarita Mocktail:
- Run a wedge of lime around the rim of your margarita glass. Roll the edge into salt or tajin seasoning, pressing to make it stick.
- Add the orange juice, lime juice and jalapeño simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well for 15 to 20 seconds until the outside is frosted. Strain into your margarita glass filled with fresh ice.
Notes
- Adjust the spiciness of this jalapeño margarita mocktail as needed. For a spicier drink, add extra spicy syrup. For a sweeter drink, add extra juice or add in some agave syrup.
