Description
This red velvet frappuccino is a delicious Starbucks copycat coffee recipe! Save time and money by making this chocolate raspberry frappuccino at home with just a few simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- Red Velvet Syrup:
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 vanilla bean
- ½ tbsp vanilla extract
- Red Velvet Frappuccino:
- ½ cup milk
- 1 ½ oz red velvet syrup
- 1 ½ oz espresso
- large handful of ice
Instructions
- First, make the red velvet syrup. Heat the raspberries, sugar, water, cocoa powder and vanilla bean together in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir consistently to encourage the cocoa powder to dissolve in the liquid.
- Continue to heat the mixture for about 10 minutes. Don’t let it boil.
- Once the sugar has completely dissolved, remove the red velvet syrup from the stove and pass the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the raspberry chunks.
- Stir in the vanilla extract. Let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Next, make the red velvet frappuccino. Add the milk, red velvet syrup, espresso and a large handful of ice to a blender. Pulse a few times, then blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream and red sprinkles (optional). Serve immediately.
