Description
This Starbucks pumpkin spice syrup is an easy to make, homemade syrup that is perfect for mixing into coffee or cocktails. You can make a large batch in 20 minutes and have pumpkin spice lattes all fall season long!
Ingredients

- ½ cup pumpkin purée
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup water
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add the pumpkin purée, brown sugar, water, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon to a medium saucepan. Heat over medium to high heat, whisking occasionally.
- Continue to heat, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the brown sugar has fully dissolved and the syrup is smooth.
- Remove the pumpkin syrup from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Pass the mixture through a cheesecloth to strain out all the pumpkin purée. You should be left with a smooth, liquid syrup.
- Let the syrup cool to room temperature before storing.
Notes
- Storage: Store leftover pumpkin syrup in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to 1 to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 2 to 3 months.
