Ingredients
Scale
- Pumpkin Spice Syrup:
- ½ cup pumpkin purée
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup water
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pumpkin Cold Foam:
- ⅓ cup milk
- 1 ½ tbsp pumpkin spice syrup
Instructions
- Make the pumpkin spice syrup. Add the pumpkin purée, brown sugar, water, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon to a medium saucepan. Heat over medium to high heat, whisking occasionally.
- Continue to heat, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the brown sugar has fully dissolved and the syrup is smooth.
- Remove the pumpkin syrup from the heat and pass the mixture through a cheesecloth to strain out all the pumpkin purée.
- Make the pumpkin cold foam. Add the milk and 2 tbsp of pumpkin spice syrup to an electric milk frother. Froth. Pour immediately on top of a couple espresso shots, cold brew coffee or chai tea concentrate.
Notes
- This recipe is for pumpkin cold foam, rather than pumpkin cream cold foam. To make pumpkin cream cold foam, whip together 4 tbsp heavy cream, 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, ½ tbsp milk and 1 ½ tbsp pumpkin spice syrup.
