Description
This peach simple syrup is easy to make with just 3 ingredients in 15 minutes. It’s the best drink syrup to add to tea, cocktails or lemonade.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup peaches, sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
Instructions
- Heat the peaches, sugar and water together in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. As the peaches warm up, use a fork or the back of a spoon to mash the peaches into small pieces.
- Continue to heat the syrup for 8 to 10 minutes. Don’t let the syrup boil. Once the sugar has completely dissolved, remove the syrup from the stove.
- Use a fine mesh strainer to strain out the peach chunks. Let the syrup fully cool to room temperature before using in drinks or storing.
Notes
- Storage: Store peach syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Freeze for up to 2 to 3 months and thaw overnight in the fridge.
