Description
This maple latte is the perfect latte to make on a crisp fall morning. Made with a homemade pecan, maple syrup and cinnamon syrup for a delicious, cozy latte.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ tsp butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 5 pecans, diced
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- dash of salt
- dash of cardamom
- ⅛ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 shots espresso
- ½ cup whole milk
Instructions
- Melt the butter on a small saucepan over medium heat. Add in the maple syrup, pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and cardamom. Continue to heat on low for 5 to 8 minutes, until the brown sugar has completely melted. Just before removing from the stove, stir in the vanilla extract.
- Strain out the pecan pieces, and mix the syrup together with the espresso.
- Use an electric frother to froth the whole milk. Pour on top of the espresso and enjoy!
Notes
- To make an iced maple latte: Serve the drink over ice and use the “cold froth” setting on your frother to froth the milk without heating it.
- Don’t let the syrup boil. Boiling the syrup can cause too much water to evaporate, leaving a sticky, goopy syrup. The syrup should have a liquid consistency.
