Description
A light, refreshing mango gin cocktail. This easy-to-make gin drink is the perfect spring and summer cocktail.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oz mango juice, fresh
- ¾ oz gin
- ¾ oz triple sec
- ¾ oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 tbsp simple syrup
- Handful of ice
Instructions
- Add the mango juice, gin, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake well.
- Strain and serve.
Notes
- Mango Juice: Fresh mango juice is what makes this cocktail taste so good. The easiest way to extract fresh mango juice is with a juicer. If you don’t have a juicer, you can blend mangoes into a purée and pass them through a strainer. However, this method is not as easy to squeeze the juice out and you may end up with a few pieces of pulp — but it won’t affect the taste!
- To make the simple syrup: Add ¼ cup granulated sugar and ¼ cup water to a saucepan and heat on medium to high heat. This will make a total of 2 oz of simple syrup. Continue to heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved, approximately 5- 10 minutes. Remove the syrup from the stove and let it cool to room temperature before using in your cocktails. Store any leftover syrup in a sealed jar in the fridge.
- Serving Size: One serving of this cocktail contains a fairly small amount of liquid, but is still quite a strong drink. If you want to add more liquid to fill a certain type of cocktail glass, serve these as double drinks. Or, add in some extra mango juice and/or a dash of club soda.
