Description
This lavender latte is a cozy and creamy fall drink. If you’re looking for a starbucks copycat honey lavender latte or have been curious to try a lavender flavor drink, this is the latte for you.
Ingredients
Scale
- Lavender Syrup:
- ⅓ cup fresh lavender
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup water
- Lavender Latte:
- ½ cup strong coffee, (optional: chilled)*
- 1 tsp lavender syrup**
- 1 tsp honey
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tbsp heavy cream
- ice (optional)
Instructions
- Lavender Syrup: Heat the lavender, sugar and water on a saucepan over medium to high heat, stirring occasionally. Bring to a gentle simmer and continue to simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavor infuse. Remove the pan from the heat, strain out the lavender pieces and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Honey Lavender Latte: Mix the lavender syrup and honey into the coffee until they are dissolved. Add in the milk and heavy cream. If you are wanting to make an iced latte, add a handful of ice before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a vegan latte, subsitute the cream and milk for almond or oat milk. Replace the honey with maple syrup.
- *If you want to make an iced latte, chill the coffee before mixing it with the other ingredients. Before serving, add a handful of ice.
- **If you don’t have fresh lavender, you can use a premade lavender syrup, which you may be able to find at your grocery store. If not, you can easily buy one online.
