Description
This iced oat milk latte is quick and easy to make. Oat milk and espresso mixed with a brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and maple infused syrup make this drink a perfect Starbucks copycat!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 shots espresso
- ⅔ cup oat milk
Instructions
- Heat the brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of the fresh espresso in a pan over medium heat.
- Continue to heat the syrup for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until the brown sugar fully dissolves. Don’t let the syrup boil, reduce the heat if necessary. Once dissolved, remove the syrup from the heat.
- Add the brown sugar syrup to a glass filled with ice. Then add in the rest of the espresso.
- Froth the oat milk in an electric frother using the “cold” setting. Pour the frothed milk on top of the latte. Stir before drinking.
Notes
- Don’t boil the syrup. Heat the syrup enough to dissolve the sugar but don’t let it boil. Boiling the syrup will cause too much liquid to evaporate and leave you with a very sticky, thick syrup.
- Use coffee ice cubes. If you like to drink your iced coffee slowly, freeze coffee ice cubes to use in your drink. This will prevent your drink from becoming watered down as the ice melts.
