Description
This iced chai latte with pumpkin cold foam is one of the best Starbucks fall drink recipes. It’s easy to make this copycat version at home, any time of the year. Chilled, creamy chai tea with a generous topping of pumpkin flavored cold foam. Then a little extra sprinkle of pumpkin spice on top for the ultimate seasonal latte.
Ingredients
Scale
- Iced Chai Tea:
- 4 chai tea bags
- 1 ⅓ cup boiling water
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Handful of ice
- Pumpkin Cold Foam:
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie filling
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
Instructions
- Make the iced chai tea: Steep the chai tea bags in the boiling water for 5 - 8 minutes. Remove the tea bags, and stir in the sugar until it dissolves. Let the tea cool to room temperature and then chill it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Wait until you are ready to drink the latte before adding in the cream and ice.
- Make the pumpkin cold foam: In a tall glass, use a milk frother to froth the pumpkin pie filling, pumpkin pie spice, milk, cream and sugar. Froth for 1 - 2 minutes until the cold foam thickens up.
- Make the latte: Add the 2 tablespoons of cream to your chilled iced chai tea and stir until well combined. Add in a handful of ice cubes. Then, gently scoop the pumpkin cold foam on top of the iced chai tea. There should be stiff foam that sits on top, and some runnier foam that will seep down into the chai tea. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Storage: Extra chai concentrate can be stored in the fridge for up to a week. Pumpkin cold foam will last in an airtight container in the fridge for a couple of days.
