Guava Margaritas

These tasty guava margaritas add a unique twist to classic margaritas. This guavarita can be made on the rocks or frozen. Or if you prefer a little spice, make the spicy jalapeño variation!


  • 4 oz guava nectar 
  • 1 oz tequila 
  • 1/2 tbsp triple sec 
  • 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tbsp agave syrup
  • Salt (optional)
  • Handful of ice


  1. Make the drink: Add the guava nectar, tequila, triple sec, lime, agave syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 seconds until frosting appears on the shaker. Strain into a prepared cocktail glass filled with fresh ice. Enjoy!


  • Salt vs. Sugar: If you prefer, line the rims of the glasses with sugar instead of salt. 
  • Variations: You can easily turn this drink into a spicy jalapeño guava margarita, frozen guava margarita or a guava mango margarita. See the blog post for instructions.
