Description
This guava margarita (also called a guavarita) is a unique twist on a classic margarita. It’s the perfect cocktail for Cinco de Mayo and can easily be made for a large group.
Ingredients

- 4 oz guava nectar*
- 1 ½ oz tequila
- ½ tbsp Triple Sec
- 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
- ½ tbsp agave syrup
- Salt (optional)
- Handful of ice
Instructions
- Run a slice of lime around the rim of each glass and roll the edge into a small amount of salt, pressing to make it stick.
- Add the guava nectar, tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice, agave syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 to 15 seconds until frost appears on the shaker. Strain into a prepared margarita glass filled with fresh ice.
Notes
- *This recipe uses store bought guava nectar but you can make your own instead if you prefer. See the blog post for details.
- To make this margarita for a group, mix the ingredients together and store in a pitcher in the fridge. Don't add ice until ready to serve.
