Description
This frozen hurricane is the tropical and refreshing cocktail you are looking for this summer! This slushy drink is a blended version of the classic hurricane cocktail and takes only 5 minutes to make.
Ingredients

- 1 ½ oz white rum
- 1 ½ oz dark rum
- 2 oz passionfruit juice
- 2 oz orange juice
- 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
- ½ oz grenadine
- ½ oz simple syrup
- large handful of ice cubes
- garnish with a slice or orange or maraschino cherries (optional)
Instructions
- Add the white rum, dark rum, passionfruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, grenadine, simple syrup and a large handful of ice cubes to a blender.
- Pulse a few times to break up the ice. Blend on high for 10 to 15 seconds until the drink has a slushy consistency. Don’t overblend the cocktail.
- Add any optional garnishes, such as a slice of orange or a maraschino cherry (optional) and serve immediately. Enjoy responsibly!
Notes
- Adjust the amount of rum to your liking. This recipe has 3 oz of alcohol per cocktail. For a weaker drink, use only 1 ½ to 2 oz of rum total. For a stronger drink, use 4 oz total.
