Description
This English Muffin French Toast recipe is simple and quick to make. Topped with maple syrup, whipped cream and fresh fruit for an easy weekend breakfast.
Ingredients
Scale
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 4 English muffins
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a large flat bowl, mix the milk, egg, cream, vanilla extract and cinnamon together until smooth.
- Cut the English muffins in half and dip each one into the batter, fully coating each side. Set aside.
- Melt the butter on a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the English muffin halves to the pan. Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes until each side is golden brown.
- Serve immediately topped with fresh fruit, whipped cream, maple syrup and powdered sugar.
Notes
- Use slightly stale bread. English muffins that are slightly stale will absorb more of the eggy batter, making them richer and more moist.
