Description
This cucumber watermelon margarita is an easy and refreshing margarita recipe to make this summer! Enjoy watermelon season and make a batch of these margaritas to sip by the pool.
Ingredients
Scale
- ¾ cup seedless watermelon chunks
- ¼ cup cucumber slices
- 1 oz tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
- ½ oz Cointreau
- Margarita salt to rim the glass (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare a margarita glass by running a wedge of lime around the rim of the glass and rolling the edge in salt, pressing gently to make the salt stick. Set aside for now.
- Blend the watermelon and cucumber slices together in a blender until smooth.
- Pass the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp.
- Add the watermelon cucumber water, tequila, lime juice, agave syrup and Cointreau to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well for 20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosted. Strain and pour into the salted margarita glass filled with ice. Serve immediately.
Notes
- To make this a spicy cucumber watermelon margarita, replace the agave syrup with jalapeno simple syrup and use tajin seasoning for the rim rather than salt.
