Description
This easy banana syrup is perfect for flavoring any type of drink. Made in under 15 minutes with only 3 ingredients: bananas, sugar and water.
Instructions
- Heat the banana, sugar and water on a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally.
- As the banana warms up, use a fork to mash the slices into small pieces.
- Continue to heat the syrup for 5 to 10 minutes. Don’t let the syrup boil.
- Remove the syrup from the stove and use a sieve to separate out the banana chunks. Let the syrup cool to room temperature before using it.
Notes
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
- Don’t boil the syrup. This banana syrup should have a thinner consistency. Boiling the syrup can cause too much water to evaporate, making the syrup too thick.
