Description
This Apple Cider Sangria is the best sangria recipe to make all throughout the fall season. It’s made with apple cider, white wine, a homemade apple cinnamon syrup, caramel vodka and Sprite.
Ingredients
Scale
- Cinnamon Apple Syrup:
- 1/2 apple, sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Apple Cider Sangria:
- 2 tsp thick caramel sauce
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 bottle of white wine
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1/3 cup cinnamon apple syrup
- 1/2 cup caramel vodka
- 1 can sprite
Instructions
- Make the cinnamon apple syrup. Heat the apples, brown sugar, water and cinnamon stick together in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally for about 5 to 10 minutes. Don’t let the syrup boil. Once the brown sugar has completely dissolved, strain out the apple chunks and cinnamon stick. Let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Rim the cocktail glass. Dip the rim of your cocktail glasses in a small amount of thick caramel syrup, then roll it in brown sugar. Set aside for now.
- Make the apple sangria. Add the white wine, apple cider, cinnamon apple syrup and vodka to a large pitcher. Stir well. Top with the sprite. Add in any optional garnishes (fresh fruit slices). Serve.
Notes
- Extra Syrup: This recipe makes a bit extra cinnamon apple syrup in case you want to add in a bit extra for a sweeter drink. Store leftover syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days. Use it to make other drinks, or even mix into lattes.
